Prior to founding Remedy Place, Dr. Leary opened a sports medicine practice focused on a non-surgical, drug-free approach to surgery prevention and chronic pain rehabilitation.
Throughout his career, he has brought his professional expertise to a wide range of celebrities, professional and Olympic athletes, and patients from all walks of life.
Let’s hand over to Dr. Leary to share his Health Stack:
“Of course, my ice baths are at Remedy Place, but any ice bath, anywhere in the world, is my number one modality/product. It’s a part of my daily practice, something I can’t live without, and honestly, I feel is the most impactful thing we can do for our health in the shortest period of time. For me, it’s not just about recovery; it’s a mental practice that provides me with the most present moment of my day, improves my mental resilience and strength, while helping to maintain my happiness, sleep metrics, and appearance.”
“For those who aren’t familiar with functional medicine, it involves a series of blood tests that tell you everything you need to know about your body. Unlike traditional diagnostic blood work, these tests reveal not only what might be wrong but also why. They guide me in tailoring my supplementation, nutrition, and programming every six months to not only stay healthy but to also maximize my performance.”
Here are the labs Dr. Leary shared with Wellworthy:
“I’ve been familiar with WHOOP since their first model, but I only started using it full-time again at the end of 2023. As I fine-tune my program and understand the importance of real-time data for tracking and regular adjustments, it’s become imperative. Our bodies are our number one assets, and the more we learn about them, the better we can care for them.”
“Sleep is crucial for our health, and its importance only grows as work and life demands increase. I’ve focused on perfecting my sleeping environment and, making sure, like we say at Remedy Place, that my sleep is “designed to heal.” My Hastens mattress, custom-matched to my body and needs, coupled with the Eight Sleep cover for biometric monitoring and body temperature regulation, has significantly enhanced my sleep.”
“This might sound unconventional, but I use it every day. My homes are my sanctuaries, and while design is crucial, so is health. I used to burn candles, which are toxic, so I switched to Palo Santo for a healthier aromatic environment. Additionally, I work with a nasal kinesiologist for personal scenting, avoiding synthetic scents that can be endocrine disruptors (especially when we are spraying colognes or perfumes on our skin every day).”
“This is a recent addition to my ‘framework program’ and has genuinely impressed me. After meeting the owner and connecting with them (which is important for me), I incorporated Katalyst into my routine twice a week. It’s not only an FDA-approved innovation but also a true leader in the space, providing some of the most intense workouts I’ve ever experienced.”
