CASIO is upgrading its miniature digital ring into a full-fledged smart ring. The new CRW-H001M-8 keeps the retro digital watch design that made the original stand out while adding health-tracking features typically found in smart rings.
Unlike most smart rings, the CASIO CRW-H008-9 features a signature digital display, allowing users to check the time directly on the ring, and it also vibrates for calls, messages, and alarms.
The updated ring pairs digital watch functionality with health-tracking features, including heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, sleep, steps, calories burned, and activity tracking.
Health data then syncs to the CASIO companion app, where users can review long-term activity and sleep trends. The ring also keeps its digital watch features, including a stopwatch, alarms, and notifications.

CRW-H001M-8 builds on the brand’s line of miniature digital watches by adding biometric tracking.
CASIO’s new ring watch comes as smart rings continue to gain momentum. Once limited to basic activity tracking, they can now monitor everything from heart rate and sleep to recovery and blood oxygen, all without the bulk of a smartwatch.
Now, brands are experimenting with how far a health tracker can really go and what it can look like, bringing those features into devices that go beyond the traditional smartwatch or minimalist smart ring.
The Casio CRW-H001 is currently available only in China. The brand has not announced if or when the health-tracking ring watch will launch in other markets, but you can check updates at casio.com.
