Trelli’s Relivaid is a new kind of pain reliever for the supplement aisle

A naturally derived formula built for headaches, cramps, and muscle aches.

Most over-the-counter pain relievers are designed to work one way. They block the enzyme responsible for producing the chemicals that cause swelling and pain, which is effective for many kinds of discomfort but doesn’t cover everything. Pain isn’t one thing; it can come from inflammation at the site, signals firing in the nervous system, or both at once.

Relivaid, the first product from new consumer health brand Trelli, is a fast-acting supplement designed to address both sides of the equation. It’s built for common pains most people reach for a pill to manage, from tension headaches and menstrual cramps to joint and muscle aches and inflammation after a hard workout.

The formula breakdown

Relivaid combines three naturally derived ingredients, each chosen for a different role.

The core ingredient is a PEA complex at 600 mg per dose. PEA, short for palmitoylethanolamide, is a compound the body produces on its own in response to pain and inflammation, and it’s been studied for decades for its ability to calm overactive pain signals in the nervous system.

The second ingredient is an amphiphilic ginger extract standardized to gingerol and shogaol, the two compounds that give the formula its anti-inflammatory benefits. Ginger has been studied for everything from migraines to menstrual cramps to post-workout soreness, often with results comparable to conventional medications but with fewer side effects. According to the brand, it uses a proprietary delivery system to get more of those compounds into the bloodstream, where they actually do the work.

Rounding out the formula is 50 mg of pharmaceutical-grade caffeine, about the amount in a cup of green tea. Caffeine is there not for energy, but because it’s one of the most well-documented boosters in pain research. It helps the other ingredients absorb faster and has its own mild effect on headache relief.

Relivaid was formulated with input from Trelli’s medical advisory board, which includes physicians and researchers with ties to Harvard Medical School, Scripps Integrative Medicine, and the scientific teams behind established clinical-grade brands like Nutrafol and Thorne.
