Sunkissed by Heaven launches a tallow-based skincare line built for life outdoors

Sunkissed by Heaven is a new skincare brand built around a short ingredient list anchored by grass-fed beef tallow. Its debut lineup is fragrance-free, made with edible-grade ingredients, and aimed at people who spend real time in the sun and want clean essentials that can keep up.

What’s in the debut lineup

Tallow Moisturizer. The formula is as short as ingredient lists get: grass-fed beef tallow, raw honey, beeswax, and jojoba oil. Fragrance-free, works on face and body, and aimed squarely at dry, sensitive, or reactive skin.

Tallow Sunscreen SPF 50. Instead of chemical UV filters like oxybenzone and octinoxate, this sunscreen uses non-nano zinc oxide—a mineral filter that sits on the skin’s surface rather than soaking in. The rest of the base follows the same tallow-forward blend as the moisturizer: grass-fed tallow, beeswax, jojoba esters, lecithin, and jojoba oil. It holds up for 80 minutes in water, won’t harm coral reefs, and goes on without much of a white cast.

The case for tallow

Humans have been using animal fats on their skin for a long time. Its fatty acid profile closely mirrors human sebum, so it absorbs more readily than plant-based oils and actually reinforces the skin’s moisture barrier instead of just coating it. Though Sunkissed bets that for people with sensitive or reactive skin, bioidentical ingredients which closely resemble the skin’s own lipids may outperform the complex, additive-heavy formulas dominating most pharmacy shelves.
