The Drop: The latest iteration in Nike’s Zoom Fly line features advanced cushioning systems and a dramatically lighter design.
Designed to be versatile, the Zoom Fly 6 fuses premium cushioning technology and carbon-plated innovation in a design that delivers both daily comfort and race-day speed.
Among Nike’s fastest trainers to date, it features a streamlined silhouette that’s 10% lighter than its predecessor, powered by a full-length carbon fiber FlyPlate and enhanced ZoomX foam for superior energy return.
The shoe also boasts Nike’s highest stack height in its racing lineup, with the FlyPlate nestled between layers of premium ZoomX and SR-02 foams – engineering that delivers the smooth transitions you need for daily miles with the snap and pop usually reserved for race day.
The redesigned upper wraps your foot in sock-like comfort with a two-layer woven mesh that’s breathable, light, and 10% leaner than its predecessor.
Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge put the shoe through its paces on both pavement and dirt roads around Eldoret, Kenya, working closely with Nike to dial in the perfect balance of protection and performance.
“This is the shoe runners should choose for their workouts all week long, instead of the ‘super shoes‘ some are using for their long runs and fartleks,” says Kipchoge. “The redesigned Zoom Fly performs at a high level and is very responsive, with wonderful cushioning from impact and great movement from heel to forefoot.”
The Nike Zoom Fly 6 launched November 1 on nike.com and at select retailers with multiple colorways available. A special edition paying tribute to the iconic red clay roads of Kipchoge’s training grounds in Kenya drops in early December.
