The Drop: Recovery footwear brand Kane expanded beyond its original Revive shoe with the Revive AC (All Conditions), designed to work in any weather.
Kane’s original Revive shoe gained traction among athletes looking for post-workout recovery. Now, the brand is addressing a key limitation – the ability to wear recovery footwear year-round.
The Revive AC keeps the dual-density RestoreFoam construction and raised footbed nodes that made the original effective for recovery, but adds weatherproofing features like a thermal cuff and enclosed upper to lock out water, dirt, and cold.
“We’ve listened to pro athletes during our visits to locker rooms and gyms,” says Kane founder John Gagliardi. “They wanted our recovery features in an enclosed shoe that could handle whatever conditions they encounter.”
The shoe’s natural rubber outsole includes 2.65mm treads and is certified slip-resistant – a significant upgrade for wet conditions. Reflective details on the pull tabs add visibility in low light, while the anatomical last design secures the heel, arch, and instep for smooth energy transfer from heel to toe.
Dr. Daniel Geller, Kane’s Chief Medical Officer, explains: “The dual-density EVA provides targeted support and cushioning, while the enhanced outer sole ensures optimal recovery regardless of conditions.” The shoe maintains the original Revive’s focus on blood flow activation through strategic pressure points.
Kane takes an eco-conscious approach with their RestoreFoam material, created from Brazilian sugarcane. The company is both a Certified B Corporation and a member of 1% for the Planet, showing their commitment to environmental responsibility alongside performance.
The Kane Revive AC is available now for $120 at kanefootwear.com. It comes in White/Black Speckle, White/Gum, and Dune colorways, with a Gravel option coming later in November. Sizes range from men’s 3/women’s 5 to men’s 14/women’s 16.
