Hyperice debuts Normatec Elite Hips

Hyperice just expanded its recovery lineup with the Normatec Elite Hips, a fully portable dynamic air compression device designed for the hips, IT bands, and lower back. Unlike earlier hip attachments that required a control unit, this version runs entirely on battery power — making it the first truly travel-ready Normatec for your lower body.

Hip tightness and lower back tension affect more than just athletes. They’re common among anyone who trains hard, sits for long hours, or simply moves through modern life. The Normatec Elite Hips uses rhythmic air compression to help loosen tight muscles, improve mobility, and accelerate recovery.

Each charge delivers up to four hours of use in a fully cordless, TSA-friendly design built for easy travel. With seven adjustable intensity levels and secure straps, the device targets the IT bands, thighs, hamstrings, hips, and lower back for tailored compression.

How the Normatec Elite Hips works

Normatec’s signature technology mimics the body’s natural muscle pumps and venous system, sending cyclical waves of compression that improve circulation, mobilize fluid, and reduce inflammation. The device connects via Bluetooth to the Hyperice App, allowing users to customize compression patterns and intensity.

In a recent study comparing cryotherapy and dynamic compression for low back pain, both treatments reduced discomfort — but only dynamic compression improved range of motion across key measures, including lumbar flexion, hip flexion, and trunk mobility.
