The Drop: HOKA unveiled the Mach X 2, the next iteration of its high-propulsion daily trainer, designed to push your pace whether you’re training or aiming for a race day PR.
Building on the success of the original Mach X, the Mach X 2 features an increased stack height and extra PEBA foam for more energy return, an upgraded winged plate design for enhanced support and propulsion, and a lighter overall package for effortless speed. These improvements were engineered to deliver a shoe that’s ready to push any pace.
“The Mach X franchise is a HOKA favorite for faster-paced training, and we’ve integrated key learnings from the design process of the race-ready Cielo X1 to elevate this design,” says Colin Ingram, VP of product at HOKA.
The HOKA Mach X 2 is available now for $190 at HOKA.com and authorized HOKA dealers worldwide.
To celebrate the launch, HOKA is partnering with Strava for the HOKA Mach Speed Challenge in New York City.
The challenge runs from September 1-30, 2024, with local runners and athletes challenged to tackle a .89 mile segment around the Central Park Reservoir. The top 5 fastest finishers will win a pair of Mach X 2 shoes, while the first 200 finishers can claim a special prize at the HOKA NYC Flagship Store.
