Meet 247’s ARC-4: A carbon-plated shoe built for runners who also lift

The hybrid trainer bridges the gap between race day speed and gym floor stability.

247, the performance arm of British fashion brand Represent, is releasing its first carbon-plated running shoe on February 4, 2026. The ARC-4 is designed for athletes who split their time between road miles and strength work, delivering the propulsion you’d expect from a plated racer with enough stability for hybrid movements.

What’s under the hood

The ARC-4 builds on 247’s existing footwear lineup (the ARC-1 Runner and ARC-2 Trainer launched in January 2025) but adds race-ready tech for athletes who want one shoe that moves between disciplines.

The ARC-4 includes:

  • Carbon Progression Plate. A carbon fiber and Pebax plate sits at the core of the midsole, providing stiffness for energy return during toe-off while maintaining stability during lateral movements.
  • Supercritical 247 Foam. Flanking the plate, this lightweight midsole material delivers 65% energy rebound. The foam is made using an eco-friendly supercritical process that reduces material weight without sacrificing responsiveness.
  • Recycled mesh insole. A 3mm foam layer with breathable perforations sits underfoot, designed to keep things cool during longer efforts.

Built for the hybrid athlete

The shoe reflects a broader shift in training culture. As more athletes blend running with strength and conditioning work, footwear that can handle both without compromise is becoming essential.

“Ever since I started running myself, alongside my strength training, I’ve wanted to develop a performance-focused shoe that performs in both a running and hybrid setting,” says George Heaton, co-founder and creative director of Represent.
