Ultrahuman’s biggest app update yet turns your health data into daily guidance

The new Emerald AI analyzes your sleep, recovery, and activity data, then recommends what to do next.

Ultrahuman, a wearable health company best known for its smart ring, has announced its biggest app update yet. Called Emerald, the new platform is designed to go beyond simply showing your health data, using AI to turn metrics like sleep, recovery, and activity into personalized recommendations throughout the day.

How Ultrahuman Emerald works

At the center of Emerald is a new AI-powered feature called UltraSphere. Instead of asking users to interpret charts and health scores on their own, UltraSphere analyzes information like sleep, recovery, activity, heart rate, and even factors like weather and circadian rhythms to recommend what to do next.

That could mean suggesting the best time to exercise, when to prioritize recovery, or other actions based on how your body is responding that day. Ultrahuman says the platform can generate more than 60 personalized “Next Best Actions,” helping users improve everything from energy and alertness to recovery and sleep.

More than an AI assistant

The update also introduces a redesigned interface with new light and dark modes, improved automatic workout detection, upgraded heart rate tracking, and a more accurate VO₂ max algorithm.

Users can also import workout data from third-party devices, including the Apple Watch, Garmin, WHOOP, compatible chest straps, and AirPods, bringing more of their health and fitness data into one place.

Additional features include a new Longevity tab for tracking long-term health trends, enhanced on-device processing that keeps insights available even without an internet connection, and expanded health tracking for users with Ultrahuman’s glucose monitors and blood testing services.

Wearables have become increasingly good at collecting health data. The next challenge is helping people understand what those numbers actually mean and what actionable guidance looks like.

Where to find it

Emerald is rolling out to Ultrahuman users now. The update is available through the Ultrahuman app and is compatible with the Ultrahuman Ring AIR and Ring PRO.
