Ultrahuman tackles snoring with new respiratory-tracking feature

The new Respiratory Health PowerPlug pairs AI sound analysis with biometric data for deeper sleep insights.

Ultrahuman has launched the Respiratory Health PowerPlug, a collaboration with Sleep Cycle designed to detect snoring, coughing, and other nighttime breathing disruptions. Available through the Ultrahuman app, the feature integrates Sleep Cycle’s AI-based sound detection with data from the Ultrahuman Ring Air to show how respiratory habits affect recovery and long-term health.

Where sleep tracking meets respiratory health

The system uses audio analysis to detect snoring and coughing events, then cross-references them with real-time biometrics like HRV, heart rate, and movement patterns. The result is a clearer picture of how breathing patterns influence sleep quality, stress levels, and cardiovascular stability over time.

“By pairing respiratory sound analysis with real-time biometrics, the Ring Air now shows users the signals they routinely miss — the breathing disruptions that fragment sleep and impair recovery,” says Ultrahuman founder Mohit Kumar.

The integration also includes practical guidance developed alongside sleep experts, helping users interpret their data and take action. Suggestions range from adjusting sleep positions to reducing alcohol intake or consulting medical professionals — simple, evidence-backed steps to improve overnight breathing and daytime energy.

How to access it

The Respiratory Health PowerPlug is now available to Ultrahuman users through the app’s waitlist. The add-on costs $3.99/month or $39.99/year and includes daily reports summarizing HRV, resting heart rate, movement, and respiratory events.
