LARQ built its name on neutralizing up to 99.9999% of bacteria in water using UV-C LED technology in self-cleaning bottles, a run that included a record Shark Tank valuation and a recent acquisition by Brita. The brand’s latest launch, cūva, marks the company’s first real move from purifying water to changing what’s in it.
LARQ’s cūva is a water enhancement pod that dispenses flavor directly into water with a single press. TThe system is paired with a new double-wall insulated LARQ Flavor Bottle, though LARQ says the pods also work by dispensing straight into any type of water without requiring it.
Each pod is formulated with zero sugar, zero calories, and no artificial colors, and holds enough flavor for roughly twelve 17oz servings. Depending on the variety, pods also include functional add-ins like electrolytes, energy, or vitamins. The line launches with three flavors: Watermelon Mint, Peach Ginger, and Lemon Cucumber.

Unlike LARQ’s self-cleaning line, which has historically been picky about compatible caps and filters across its own bottle sizes, cūva pods aren’t locked to a single LARQ model. The brand says the pods are compatible with the dedicated Flavor Bottle or can be dispensed directly into any still or sparkling water, meaning the barrier to entry is much lower than with past LARQ hardware.
LARQ’s original bottle solved a hygiene problem; cūva is aimed at the more common reason people fall short of hydration goals: taste and boredom are still barriers to hydration. Nearly half of U.S. adults consume less than three 16-oz glasses of water a day, well under recommended intake, and among younger adults, only about 35% meet national fluid recommendations at all. By keeping the same clean-label standards as its bottle line, the brand treats flavor as an extension of its existing health positioning rather than as a separate product category.
