Jim Huether has been at Hyperice for over a decade, helping position the brand as a market leader within the recovery and health technology space.
We caught up with Jim to discuss his favorite brands and products. Watch the video and read below to learn about Jim’s Health Stack:
The Normatec boots use dynamic air compression to advance everyday wellness and helps aid in faster recovery, improved training and maximized performance.
“I use these post-run and pre-workout for recovery and body maintenance, says Huether. “It helps to enhance circulation and get the blood flow moving,” he adds.
The Venom 2, which comes in versions for the back, leg and shoulder and heats to 131°F (55°C) in just one minute. Its three levels of heat paired with three distinct vibration patterns allow you to customize your soothing massage to best fit your need. “It really helps with range, motion and flexibility and also reducing pain and tension,” Huether noted.
“Whoop is doing some really innovative stuff with wearable technology,” Huether told Wellworthy. “Their approach to data giving constant feedback around how your body’s changing in connection to fitness and wellness is really strong. I [also] love their user interface and the way they communicate — it’s really engaging and you learn a lot about your sleep and habits.”
Over the past six months Huether has “gotten really into pilates.” Initially skeptical, Huether’s introduction to pilates came through his wife’s encouragement. Despite his initial reluctance, attributing to his years-long commitment to a set workout routine, he eventually gave it a try and found it to be a game-changer.
Huether’s go-to product for pilates is Frame’s digitally-connected pilates reformer.
In his words, “It’s been game-changing. I think I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since I was in my twenties and I’m in my early forties now. So it’s been a game-changer. I just have a lot more energy.”
Best known for its bike workouts, Peloton provides members with expert instruction and content to create impactful and entertaining workout experiences. And Huether’s a fan, “I [ride] every morning and I’ve been consistent for maybe five or six years,” he says.
Myodetox is a brand that’ reinventing the physical therapy experience, bringing a preventative and wellness-focused approach to taking care of your body. “It’s a really forward thinking approach to physical therapy and rehab and it’s centered in movement and range of motion,” explains Huether.
Its expert therapists provide hands-on therapy and corrective exercises to resolve pain, while teaching clients how to FutureProof their bodies by minimizing injury risk and becoming more resilient.
“It’s a Smart Showerhead that has infusions that you put inside of it,” explains Huether. “Some of them are energy boosting, some help you sleep.”
Hai’s Smart Showerhead also gives you the ability to monitor your water usage. “From a water conservation perspective, it’s very innovative,” adds Huether.
AG1 is a nutrition drink designed to remove the friction from covering the daily nutritional needs of a modern diet. “From a nutrition perspective, it’s the go-to,” says Huether.
Founded in 2016 by former Equinox executives, Jeff Ono and John Klein, Pause Studio emerged with the mission of enabling individuals to “press pause” in their daily lives so they can proactively focus on improving their physical and mental health.
“They’ve done a really good job,” explains Huether. “There’s float tanks, Hyperice technologies, IV drips, [and more].”
Plunge is at the forefront of the rapidly growing cold immersion industry and makes saunas, cold plunges and a comprehensive app that integrates all of its products. “Plunge another company that’s on fire right now, they’re crushing it,” says Huether.
