Aviron turns planks into video games with the Abs Hero

Connected fitness brand Aviron is bringing gamification to core training with the Abs Hero, a $149 device that transforms standard planks into interactive workouts through smartphone games.

Core training meets mobile gaming

The Abs Hero pairs a motion-tracking plank platform with Aviron’s mobile app, syncing movements to iOS games. Its rounded base allows multi-directional movement while planking, engaging over 20 muscle groups as you shift and steer to control on-screen gameplay.

Designed for comfort and stability, the device includes foam padding for forearm support, a phones or tablet holder, and a floor-safe base rated for users up to 300 pounds. In the app, players can join live challenges with other members, track progress on leaderboards, and earn virtual rewards for consistent training.

An optional Aviron membership ($2.99 monthly) unlocks a full library of workouts, cooperative or competitive games, plus individual stats, achievements, and workout history. Members can also earn Aviron coins that allow in-app shopping for backgrounds, avatars, and power-ups. Non-members can still access basic tracking, view metrics, and connect with friends.
