Ann Ragan Kearns. The former NCAA Division I swimmer turned beauty founder launched Medalist, a skincare brand for female athletes.
Ann Ragan starts each day with a brisk walk through Central Park before diving into work, saving evenings for Pilates and cycling. “Movement is non-negotiable for my mental and physical well-being,” she shares. After a four-year break, she’s also excited to add swimming back to her routine.
Here’s Ann Ragan to share her Health Stack:
“I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago and this supplement has really helped in lowering my cortisol levels to promote relaxation and sleep. I drink one Nello packet while I’m reading or winding down before bed.”
“I discovered my love of Pilates through Classpass! I have two torn rotator cuffs from my collegiate swimming days paired with the PCOS diagnosis, and about two years ago, I realized that I was doing high intensity workouts that no longer work for me. I decided to give Pilates a shot and it has been a game changer to my workout routine! My favorite classes are solidcore, SLT, and New York Pilates.”
“The CHANI app offers personalized daily horoscopes and astrology insights based on your birth chart, as well as daily and weekly meditations and journal prompts. I use the app daily for the meditations.”
“I use this daily to help relieve neck tension and improve posture, especially after long hours at my desk or on calls—it’s a simple but effective way to unwind and reset.”
“I use my Nutribullet daily to make a quick smoothie for breakfast or afternoon snack.”
“I met Lindsay, the founder of Hettas, through a female founder community and she’s been a great supporter and friend through Medalist’s launch. I love how she has a running shoe designed specifically for women, addressing the unique needs of female runners while championing sustainability.”
“I use Medalist daily. Clean Sweep wipes after my workout and as a makeup remover. Game Face Spray after my workout and throughout the day when I need a quick hydrating refresh, and the No Fric Anti Chafe Balm before a walk in the park or run on the treadmill.”
“I try to use my journal during my nightly wind down routine. I have found it helps me create a space for mindfulness, reflection and especially gratitude among the crazy day to day of being a Founder.”
“I am lucky that my apartment building has a Peleton. I try to get a few rides in a week as well as take some of their strength classes.”
“I love this dry shampoo for women who work out. I use regularly if I’m on the go after a workout. Plus, Carrie, a Co-Founder of Swair, is also a great female founder in the health and wellness space and has been an amazing mentor while I build Medalist.”
