Modern training rarely fits neatly into one box. Most of us juggle running, lifting, and conditioning while also managing work, travel, and the demands of everyday life. And while the line between an everyday fitness tracker and a rugged sports watch has started to blur, the real challenge is finding a device that understands how to balance it all.
Amazfit is targeting this exact reality with the launch of its two new smartwatches, the Balance 3 and Balance Ultra. Both watches will serve as the hardware for the company’s Hybrid Training System, which calculates your daily readiness by weighing both workout strain and everyday life stress.
Both watches share the same core hardware. They are built around a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass, hit 3,000 nits of brightness for clear reading in direct sun, and include dual-band GPS, offline mapping, and a newly added LED flashlight for outdoor training.
The difference between the two models comes down to build, battery, and budget:
Balance 3 ($369.99): The standard model comes in stainless steel and runs up to 21 days on a charge. It runs the exact same software and tracking features as the Ultra and delivers the same health insights, built for a more standard hybrid routine.
Balance Ultra ($599): The flagship model steps up to a Grade 5 titanium case and a battery that stretches up to 30 days. The premium price buys you a lighter but tougher build, made specifically for ultra-runners or multi-day hikers.
While the watch handles the tracking, the interpretation happens in the connected Zepp App. The standout feature is HybridCharge, which calculates readiness by evaluating your physical energy state, your workout strain, and your everyday lifestyle demands. This ensures the software acknowledges that a high-stress week at work taxes your nervous system just as much as a heavy training block.
“The future of training is not about doing more without direction. It is about training with structure,” said Wayne Huang, CEO of Zepp Health. “With Balance 3 and Balance Ultra, we are helping athletes better understand how strength, endurance, recovery, and daily life all affect performance.”
Following Amazfit’s recent deal as the exclusive global wearable partner for HYROX, both watches cater directly to hybrid competitors. The software includes dedicated HYROX training plans and a virtual pacer to use on race day. Afterward, a post-race analysis tool breaks down your pacing to separate the time you spent running from the time spent at exercise stations.
Both models are available now directly through Amazfit.com.
