The Drop: adidas Training launched the SS25 Optime collection, featuring squat-proof leggings and shorts designed to solve common workout wardrobe malfunctions.
According to adidas’ research, three out of four gym-goers face clothing issues during workouts, leading to self-consciousness and reduced performance. The SS25 Optime collection aims to change that with technical apparel that’s been tested by CrossFit athlete Laura Horvath and fitness coach Julie Jaws Nelson, along with instructors from Les Mills and Tonehouse.
The collection’s hero pieces include 4 and 5-inch shorts and 7/8 leggings constructed with adidas’ next-to-skin adimove 2.0 material and Lycra Sport fabric. This combination provides reliable 4-way stretch that maintains its shape through multiple wash cycles and workouts.
Made for movement, the apparel features strategically placed side panels and high waistbands for a sculpted feel, while CLIMACOOL technology wicks away sweat during heavy lifting sessions. A secure side stash pocket keeps essentials close without compromising form during squats and deadlifts.
“We set out to design apparel that will allow the training community to reach their goals with confidence,” says Aimee Arana, adidas Global General Manager Sportswear & Training. “Knowing that strength training continues to be the fastest growing workout type amongst the next generation, we wanted to ensure our athletes have the best support and experience when working out.”
The SS25 adidas Optime collection is available now at select retail stores and adidas.com.
