Peloton now matches you with a dedicated personal trainer

The new Trainwell-powered program adds real coaching and custom programming to Peloton's existing class library.

Peloton has one of the deepest fitness libraries in the business. The problem, though, is that a library doesn’t tell you what to do with it. Peloton Personal Trainer, a new beta program powered by Trainwell, adds what’s been missing: a real coach who builds your weekly plan from Peloton’s catalog, checks in via video regularly, and stays available through daily messaging to adjust as your goals or schedule shift.

What users will get

The setup is straightforward. Members get matched with a Trainwell trainer, do an initial video call to cover your history, goals, and any injuries, and they build a custom plan anchored in progressive strength training and drawn from classes across modalities. The program will blend Peloton’s content with Trainwell’s coaching model:

  • Custom weekly training plans built from Peloton classes and targeted strength workouts
  • Unlimited 1-on-1 messaging with your assigned trainer
  • Regular video check-ins for feedback, form review, and plan adjustments
  • Progressive programming that evolves as you do — not a static 4-week template on repeat

The difference

Trainwell was built around long-term strength progression and accountability, which fills a gap that on-demand classes alone can’t cover. The pairing makes sense: Peloton handles variety and production quality, Trainwell handles personalization and follow-through.

How to join

Peloton Personal Trainer is available in beta on a waitlist basis for Peloton All-Access Members in the US (iOS only). The program offers a 14-day free trial, then $99.99/month. Join the waitlist at onepeloton.com.
