Hydrow launches Arc Rower with AI-powered training metrics

The connected fitness brand's newest machine introduces HydroMetrics scoring system.

Hydrow’s new Arc Rower features a 24″ HD display, plus HydroMetrics, an AI-powered system trained on Olympic rowing data that analyzes rowing form and provides personalized workout recommendations.

The $2,295 machine maintains the same footprint as Hydrow’s existing models while adding patent-pending technology designed to improve technique and track progress.

Introducing HydroMetrics

The Arc debuts HydroMetrics, which breaks down each workout into three scores:

  • Precision Score: Measures stroke accuracy against ideal rowing form
  • Power Score: Tracks explosive power from your seven best strokes in a timeframe
  • Endurance Score: Evaluates cardio strength based on your best five-minute effort

The system combines these into a single HydroMetrics Index (HMI) score that tracks progress over time and provides specific guidance for improvement.
