The Drop: Hyperice launched the next generation of its best-selling Hyperice X contrast therapy line. The Hyperice X 2 Knee and X 2 Shoulder replace the original models with expanded temperature ranges and multi-level compression.
The biggest change is the addition of compression. Five levels of compression (up to 160mmHg) push hot and cold temperatures deeper into tissue, allowing users to customize both temperature and pressure for their needs.

The temperature range has been expanded to range from 40°F to 121°F with five levels each of heating and cooling, an improvement from the original 45°F to 113°F range. The new OLED display on the device lets you switch between hot, cold, and contrast therapy modes, plus adjust compression levels. You can use it manually or connect via Bluetooth to the Hyperice app.
Battery life has been extended to up to 1.5 hours of continuous use (depending on settings), which is 34% more capacity than the original. The device is cord-free for portable use but can also plug into the wall for longer sessions. At 2.5 lbs, both devices are TSA-friendly and designed to fit both right and left sides for versatility.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels uses the X 2 Shoulder in his routine. “The built-in compression elevates my warm-up, and the contrast therapy helps me bounce back quickly,” says Daniels.
The Hyperice X 2 Knee and X 2 Shoulder are available now in the US for $449 at hyperice.com, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and REI.
In Europe, they’ll launch September 15 as the “Hyperice Contrast 2” line for £399 or €449.
