Gina Meyers is a master instructor at SoulCycle and has spent more than 15 years in the fitness industry, Meyers has honed a wellness routine that keeps her energized, balanced, and ready to inspire during her classes.
“Teaching high intensity cardio is fun!” Meyers says. “I feel truly connected to my purpose in helping others achieve their goals, growing stronger mentally and physically.” This sense of purpose drives her, but Meyers knows that to keep giving, she needs to take care of herself first. “We cannot pour from an empty cup,” she notes.
At 43, with two young children and a demanding career, Meyers’ says her approach to health and wellness is all about “sustainable energy” and “stress management.”
Meyers’ day typically starts at 6:30 AM, with a precious 30-minute buffer before the house comes to life. “This buffer isn’t always guaranteed,” she admits, “but I only need about five minutes to sit alone and either listen to a guided meditation or just breathe.” If home doesn’t allow for this moment of zen, Meyers makes up for it in her car before teaching.
Before heading out to teach at SoulCycle, Meyers fuels her body with a carefully curated mix of supplements:
Gina kickstarts her day with a trio of Lypo-Spheric products. She begins with Vitamin C, to bolster her immune system. Next, B Complex Plus, unlocking energy and vitality for the day ahead. Finally, she nourishes her brain and body with Magnesium, supporting everything from relaxation to bone health.
“Lypo-Spheric gels are added to water and taken like a shot,” explains Meyers. “They also have no aftertaste or vitamin reflux. They’re really easy, convenient, and can travel well.”
This vegan powder packs 36 fruits and vegetables into each serving, delivering essential phytonutrients and prebiotic fiber. Naturally sweetened and gluten-free, it easily mixes into drinks for convenience.
Arbonne Energy Fizz blends ginseng, B vitamins, and natural caffeine to boost energy, enhance alertness, and improve cognitive performance. Simply mix with water for a low-calorie alternative to coffee or energy drinks.
“I am not a fan of taking pills,” Meyers explains, “so all the products I use are added to water.” She appreciates that these products dissolve easily and taste great, making them convenient for her busy lifestyle.
Meyers also takes the time to ensure the supplements she uses are actually effective. “Sometimes it’s hard to notice if you are benefitting from certain products,” she acknowledges. To combat this, she regularly takes breaks from supplements to see if she notices a difference. “100% all of these products work for me,” she says, noting that the gut health support and Magnesium make a particularly noticeable difference in her monthly cycle and sleep.
As a SoulCycle instructor, high-intensity cardio is a given in Meyers’ routine. But she doesn’t stop there. “I follow up my teaching on the bike with boxing and strength training,” she says. Always looking to grow, Meyers has set a personal goal to incorporate more functional movement training into her regimen.
Meyers understands that recovery is just as important as the workout itself. Her recovery routine includes:
For Meyers, wellness isn’t just about physical fitness. She emphasizes the importance of mental health practices, including therapy, journaling, and meditation — turning to the Headspace app for regular guided meditation sessions. This holistic approach helps her manage stress and maintain the energy she needs to be fully present for her students, her family, and herself.
Meyers’ approach to wellness is about balance, consistency, and mindfulness. By carefully regulating her nervous system, maintaining her energy levels, and prioritizing both physical and mental health, she’s able to bring her best self to every class she teaches and every moment with her family.
