Climatic’s debut product, L Max, supports lung health in one daily inhaled dose

A powder formula designed to clear the airways and support easier breathing.

The average person takes around 20,000 breaths a day, and nearly all of that air contains particulate matter and pollutants above what the WHO considers safe to breathe. Most wellness routines don’t account for that. Lung care tends to come up only when something goes wrong, unlike sleep, hydration, or gut health, which have each become their own daily practice.

New York-based health startup Climatic is reframing lung care as a proactive part of daily wellness, starting with its debut product, L Max. It’s a once-a-day inhaled dry powder that supports the lungs’ natural ability to clear mucus, fine particulate matter, and the everyday debris that builds up from breathing modern air.

How it works

Each dose of L Max comes in a single-use blister that snaps into the device. After a full exhale, the user takes a slow, deep inhale through the mouthpiece for about 5 seconds, holds for another 5, and exhales. The dose clears in one breath, and the full ritual takes under 30 seconds. Unlike most lung supplements, which must pass through the digestive system first, L Max goes straight to the lungs and works locally, helping the body clear mucus and trapped particles.

The formula is built around five naturally derived ingredients, including sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, and forskolin, a plant extract traditionally used in respiratory and cardiovascular support. Climatic describes L Max as a daily habit rather than an instant-relief product. Early signs of easier breathing tend to show up within the first week, with performance and airflow gains building over two to three weeks of consistent use.

What the research shows

In a five-week trial with endurance athletes, 98% of participants reported easier breathing during workouts, time-trial performance improved by an average of 6%, and 80% saw improvements in heart rate variability within two weeks. A larger placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trial is currently underway.

L Max was developed in collaboration with pulmonary researchers, including Dr. Bruce Johnson of the Mayo Clinic and Climatic’s own Chief Science Officer, Dr. Dale Christensen of Duke University. It’s a dietary supplement formulated with GRAS-certified, WADA-compliant ingredients and designed for daily use by healthy adults, not as a substitute for prescription respiratory care.
