The Drop: 2XU and District Vision have joined forces to create a high-performance collection inspired by the grueling Badwater 135 ultramarathon.
Australian compression wear brand 2XU teamed up with LA-based District Vision to launch a limited-edition collection inspired by the world’s toughest foot race, the Badwater 135 ultramarathon.
The Badwater 135 is widely recognized as the world’s most challenging foot race. Starting in California’s Death Valley, 282 feet below sea level at the lowest point in North America, runners traverse 135 miles to reach the Mount Whitney trailhead at 8,360 feet above sea level. With temperatures soaring to 130°F, this brutal course pushes athletes to their absolute limits.
2XU and District Vision set out to create gear capable of withstanding these extreme conditions to support ultrarunner and 2XU athlete Harvey Lewis to cross the finish line for a 13th time.
The collection features nine new pieces from 2XU, including tops, bottoms, and accessories, paired with District Vision’s ultra-lightweight sunglasses.
This versatile top combines ultralight Payen Run four-way stretch fabric with Payen Air 70 breathable grid mesh. It features an adjustable sun-protective hood, asymmetrical shoulder zips, and a back vent for customizable ventilation.
Both made with the same high-performance fabrics as the pullover, these pieces offer lightweight breathability. The singlet stands out with unique artwork by Filip Pagowski.
These bottoms incorporate HeiQ Smart Temp technology for climate adaptability and 2XU’s muscle containment stamping (MCS) for extra support. Multiple pockets provide storage for essentials during long runs.
These rimless, blade-style sunglasses feature District Vision’s D+ therapeutic grade lens, designed to reduce eye strain during intense physical activity. The frame is made of lightweight aerospace-grade titanium for durability.
The collection is available now from District Vision’s website.
