Running is one of the highest-participation sports in the US, and the range of people doing it has never been broader. Beginners are showing up to run clubs alongside marathoners, and the sport is more communal than it’s ever been.
That breadth hasn’t gone unnoticed by international brands. Today, French performance running brand KIPRUN announced its US debut, dropping three hero footwear models with something for every kind of runner from daily training to ultra-distance trail.
KIPRUN’s name traces back to the 2007 New York City Marathon, where the crowd’s energy and the rallying cry of “KEEP RUNNING!” became both the brand’s name and its founding purpose.
The three launch styles span the full range of running, from daily training miles to race day to rugged trail.

The KIPRIDE Max.
The max-cushion everyday trainer of the lineup. The SOFTECH+ midsole (a blend of EVA, PEBA, and OBC foam) makes for a soft, high-rebound ride that’s best on recovery days or daily training. At 42mm of heel stack, there’s plenty of cushion underfoot, and the 360 collar construction keeps the fit secure without any pressure points. If you’re building mileage and want a shoe that absorbs the work, this one earns its place.

The KIPSTORM Elite.
The race shoe. It’s built light, but the dual-density A-TPU/PEBA capsule beneath it delivers the propulsive energy return you’d expect from a carbon-era competitor. A tongueless knit upper and rocker geometry keep the ride efficient from half-marathon to marathon distances. At $250, it’s priced just under comparable race-day shoes like the Nike Vaporfly 4 and Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4.

The KIPSUMMIT Max.
The most serious shoe of the three, and at $150, one of the more accessible trail running shoes at this level. Built specifically for efforts between 25 and 100 miles, it’s designed for runners who are hitting tough distance trails. A FASTECH+ A-TPU midsole keeps the ride cushioned and lightweight over long hauls, while a Vibram Megagrip outsole with 4mm lugs handles everything from rocky technical terrain to long flat miles.
“The U.S. has one of the most vibrant and diverse running communities in the world,” said Julien Vancauwenberge, KIPRUN’s Chief Marketing Officer. “From road racing to trail running and everything in between, runners here are constantly pushing boundaries.”
The running shoe market isn’t lacking for options, but KIPRUN is coming in with Decathlon’s backing and a clear point of view: solid technology, a focused lineup, and reasonable prices. For a first US drop, it’s a strong entry.
KIPRUN footwear is available now at select specialty run retailers nationwide, including Running Warehouse, Heartbreak, and Run Moore, as well as online at decathlon.com.
