Joylux made a vaginal hydration melt with a skincare-grade approach

The femtech brand is tackling one of the most common menopause concerns.

Intimate dryness affects more than half of women going through perimenopause and menopause, and the solutions available have largely lagged behind the broader skincare category. Joylux is trying to close that gap with reliefHER, a vaginal hydration melt formulated with 15mg of hyaluronic acid, up to three times what most comparable products contain.

The formula behind it

Hyaluronic acid is a well-researched hydrating ingredient with solid clinical backing for intimate use. For women who want to avoid hormonal treatments, multiple randomized controlled trials have found it performs comparably to estrogen cream for relieving vaginal dryness. Besides being non-hormonal, it’s also pH-balanced and designed to dissolve naturally. The rest of the formula is plant-based, containing coconut oil, cocoa butter, vitamin E, and silica.

A non-hormonal approach to intimate dryness.

Joylux has been building in this space since 2013, founded by Colette Courtion after her own experience with postpartum hormonal changes. The brand is best known for its vFit device, a red light intimate wellness tool developed with Ob-Gyn Dr. Sarah de la Torre, who also serves as the brand’s Chief Medical Officer. reliefHER was developed with the same clinical oversight.
