The Pod 5 combines three core technologies:

Immersive temperature: The new Cover and hydro-powered Blanket work together to double the thermal performance across your body. Each side of the bed can cool or heat independently from 55°F to 110°F, with settings that adjust based on your biometric data to support deeper sleep. This solves the classic bedtime problem: no more blanket battles with your partner.

Zero-gravity elevation: The updated Base gently lifts your upper body to relieve back pressure and improve circulation. Most impressively, it responds automatically to snoring by elevating your head to reduce disruptions without waking you or your partner. The company claims this feature has been clinically shown to reduce snoring by up to 45%.

Integrated surround sound: Built into the Base, the new speaker system delivers science-backed audio, including exclusive Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) tracks created with Dr. Andrew Huberman, to calm your nervous system and ease you into rest. The system automatically detects when you’ve fallen asleep and can turn off accordingly.

Pod 5 also debuts Health Check, a set of AI algorithms that monitor cardiovascular and respiratory patterns during sleep. If your heart rate trends upward or your breathing becomes abnormal, the system surfaces these changes in the app.

Health Check works through sensors embedded in the Cover — no smartwatch or other wearable required. According to Eight Sleep, the Pod tracks heart rate with 99% precision compared to clinical-grade ECGs.

The system is designed to work with any existing mattress and bed frame. The Cover fits like a fitted sheet, the Blanket can be inserted into most duvet covers, and the Base fits on top of existing bed frames (or can be freestanding with an optional leg kit). Everything works together through the Eight Sleep app.
