District Vision and New Balance’s latest collab is a 7.6-ounce carbon-plated runner

Japanese-inspired design meets race-day performance.

District Vision and New Balance have released their fifth collaboration — the DV + NB SC Elite, an ultralight (7.6 oz) carbon-plated running shoe built on New Balance’s FuelCell SC Elite platform. The result blends race-day engineering with District Vision’s mindful, Japanese-inspired aesthetic.

Performance meets mindfulness

The DV + NB SC Elite combines New Balance’s competition-grade tech with District Vision’s design philosophy.

The FuelCell SC Elite platform uses a PEBA midsole for high energy return and a full-length carbon fiber plate to enhance stride efficiency. New Balance’s Energy Arc technology pairs plate geometry with strategic midsole voids, maximizing energy storage and rebound.

Designed with intention

Available in colorways Linen and Pearl Grey, the shoes feature subtle nods to Japanese craftsmanship: a red contrast stitch at the heel, Clarino suede accents on the lateral “N” logo and tongue, and red bar tack reinforcement for durability.

Each pair includes a removable coin medallion engraved with DV and NB motifs. The medallion reimagines a Japanese good-luck token given to District Vision co-founder Tom Daly before his 2014 Honolulu Marathon.

Where to buy

The DV + NB SC Elite ($280) is available now exclusively at districtvision.com in Linen and Pearl Grey colorways.
