The Vomero 18 brings a new focus to Nike’s road running lineup, with what the brand describes as “an expression of smoothness and softness.” The shoe offers a comfort-first experience while maintaining a lightweight feel despite its substantial cushioning.

Nike achieves this plush ride by stacking ZoomX foam through the entire length of the shoe with ReactX in both heel and forefoot. This combination creates 6mm more stack height than the previous Vomero, bringing it to a towering 46mm—the tallest in Vomero history.

“We heard from runners that when they think of maximum cushioning, they envision a soft, plush experience that alleviates feeling the impact of the ground underfoot,” says Ashley Campbell, running footwear product line manager at Nike. “We obsessed the details to give the running community that sensation with best-in-class design and technology.”

The silhouette features a durable rubber outsole for high-mileage traction and increased rocker geometry for smoother heel-to-toe transitions. The upper uses soft, stretchy engineered mesh that enhances breathability around the toe and tongue.

Beyond performance, the Vomero 18 makes a visual statement with a design that’s bold yet refined. The curvy form creates aesthetic appeal while serving functional purposes—the pronounced heel lift signals movement and delivers maximum cushion with each step. The lead “Atmosphere Pink” colorway represents the joy runners feel during a long run, with additional colorways available to match your personal style.

The Vomero 18 is part of Nike’s restructured road running footwear lineup, which now focuses on three distinct cushioning experiences:
