Nike is introducing the After Dark Tour, a women-only nighttime race series that reimagines the traditional running event.
Stopping in Sydney, Shanghai, Seoul, Mumbai, Los Angeles, and Mexico City, the tour offers both 10K and half-marathon distances while blending nightlife, community building, and comprehensive training support.
The tour offers both 10K and half-marathon distances.
Each event is designed to “feed the passion athletes have for sport, connection and shared experiences.”
Moving beyond the traditional race day format, participants can access Nike product showcases, expert coaching sessions, race preparation services, recovery zones, and post-race celebrations that extend into the night.
The LA race brings runners to SoFi Stadium on June 7, 2025, for an evening half-marathon through the city. Starting at 6:30 PM, participants begin their 13.1-mile journey outside the stadium, following a course dotted with entertainment zones and support stations.
The route concludes back at SoFi Stadium, where finishers can join a post-race concert and celebration under the stars.
“We’re creating a space where women runners feel welcome and empowered,” says Seema Simmons, VP, Global Women’s Running and Training. “The After Dark Tour is about joining a community that supports and uplifts you, wherever you are in your running journey.”
Nike has developed a comprehensive training program to support runners throughout their journey. The Nike Run Club App offers specialized six-week 10K and twelve-week half-marathon training plans, guided by Nike Run Coach Diljeet Taylor.
“Getting athletes to the starting line knowing that their coach believes in them is the best race day preparation,” Taylor says. The app also includes new features for runner safety, including real-time location sharing and localized running tips.
The tour kicks off in Sydney on April 12, 2025, and concludes in Mexico City on June 21, 2025. The complete race schedule includes stops in Shanghai, Seoul, Mumbai, and Los Angeles.
Runners can sign up now at afterdarktour.nike.com. The registration includes access to training plans, community events, and race weekend experiences. Applications for the events close on January 31, 2025.
