Whether a healthy snack or a post-workout pick-me-up, many of us probably have a collection of protein bars in our pantry.
And while it may seem like there’s nothing new to be done with the high-protein staple, MOSH has brought something truly unique to the oversaturated market.
Founded by award-winning journalist Maria Shriver and her son, actor and investor, Patrick Schwarzenegger (yes, THAT Schwarzenegger), MOSH — also known as The Brain Brand — was born from personal experience with Alzheimer’s disease to inspire and educate people on how to proactively maintain brain health.

At $3.60 per bar, they’re not the cheapest option out there. But when you’re getting up to 13 grams of protein, brain-boosting adaptogens, and flavors that live up to their promises, it feels worth the investment. Plus, a portion of every purchase supports Alzheimer’s research and awareness for women.
With the extensive variety of protein bars on the market, it can be hard to find a product that stands out — but MOSH does just that. The low-sugar, high-protein bars are truly delicious and have a nutritional ingredient list to support the health of your body and brain.
I tried all MOSH Bar flavors.
I taste-tested all seven flavors that MOSH offers, evaluating them for overall taste and texture. I was looking for common features I find in other protein bars like unpleasant aftertastes, fake protein flavors, or rubbery consistency. But the MOSH bars exceeded my expectations in taste, texture, and ingredients.
The first thing that struck me about MOSH is the variety of flavors that the brand offers, and the second thing was how delicious the bars actually are.
MOSH’s lineup includes eight flavors and they all taste like real food: Lemon White Chocolate Crunch, Chocolate Brownie Crunch, Blueberry Almond Crunch, Cookie Dough Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch, Peanut Butter Chocolate (plant-based), Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch, and Raspberry White Chocolate Crunch.

My favorites were the Lemon White Chocolate for its fresh lemony baked good taste; Cookie Dough for its soft and crunchy texture; and Peanut Butter Chocolate for its real peanut butter flavor. I was shocked by the lack of fake flavors or weird aftertastes that accompany many protein bars. All flavors are also gluten free, keto-friendly, and Non-GMO.
To help me taste-test all of the brand’s flavors, I enlisted my fiance, who is a somewhat picky eater. And he summed up the protein bars so well that I have to give him credit for this quote. “A lot of protein bars you feel like you have to ‘get through,’ but these I genuinely enjoy eating,” he said. “I would even eat them as a dessert.”
Similar to the depth of flavor, MOSH’s brain fuel protein bars contain different textures, from chewy to crunchy, and even creamy, all in one bite. They’re not too chewy — you won’t lose a tooth trying to take a bite — and many of the bars have a satisfying crunch.
I thought the Cookie Dough Crunch Bar was a great example of this with its soft, dough-like base, crunchy Rice Krispie-like puffs, and creamy chocolate chips that truly made it seem like I was eating a candy bar.
What sets MOSH apart is its focus on brain nutrition. While most bars just pump up the protein and call it a day, MOSH’s formula delivers nutrients to aid brain function alongside a muscle-building protein blend – all with 3 grams of sugar or less per bar.
Each bar is also packed with additional nutrients, vitamins, and adaptogens to support brain health and overall wellness.
MOSH’s proprietary brain blend also features in each bar, including Omega-3 and vitamin B12, Lion’s Mane and Ashwagandha, along with various superfoods and prebiotic fiber.
If you’re tired of protein bars that taste like sweetened cardboard, MOSH offers a legitimately delicious alternative that supports both body and brain health. The texture, flavor variety, and thoughtful ingredients make the brand stand out in the overcrowded protein bar landscape.
MOSH’s brain-boosting protein bars are available on the brand’s website where you can buy a 12-pack of a single flavor for $44 or a variety pack for $54 (15-pack) to $132 (36-pack). You can also build your own bundle of 12-packs to save 15% to 30%. The bars are also sold on Amazon for $23 for a six-piece variety pack or $54 for a 15-piece variety pack.
If you’re shopping in person, the MOSH bars are also sold at coffee shops and grocery stores across the US.
