The Drop: HOKA’s max-cushioned road running shoe, the Bondi 9, arrives with enhanced comfort features and improved durability.
When HOKA launched the original Bondi in 2011, it introduced the concept of maximalist cushioning to road running shoes. The latest iteration builds on this legacy with meaningful improvements.
The Bondi is HOKA’s ultra-cushioned daily runner.
“The new Bondi 9 is a leap forward in innovation, with its premium and plush cushioning, delivering on HOKA’s commitment to help running become more accessible to everybody – while solidifying Bondi as the brand’s most comfortable choice for daily miles,” says Bekah Broe, Senior Director of Product for Performance Footwear at HOKA
Built for comfort, the Bondi 9’s structured knit upper provides targeted breathability and a more accommodating fit. A new 3D molded collar delivers easier step-in comfort, while strategic durabrasion rubber placement in high-wear areas helps extend the shoe’s lifespan.
HOKA added 2mm of stack height to the Bondi 9.
The Bondi 9 also features a new supercritical foamed EVA midsole that’s lighter and more resilient than previous versions. HOKA added 2mm of stack height and refined the MetaRocker geometry for smoother transitions. The shoe also includes a rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame for enhanced support and control.
The Bondi 9 is available now at HOKA.com and authorized retailers for $170.
