Birdwell, founded in 1961 by Carrie Birdwell Mann, began as a small operation in her living room and grew into one of the first businesses specializing in surf wear. Its two-ply nylon boardshorts, originally created for Newport Beach lifeguards, remain the brand’s signature product.

“Birdwell is passionate about creating functional, high-quality beach styles that help people lead healthy lives,” says Birdwell CEO, Eric Crane. :This collaboration with GORUCK upholds the shared value of keeping people active long term by promoting exercise in and out of the water.”

GORUCK, founded by former Green Beret Jason McCarthy, is known for its military-grade gear designed to thrive in both urban environments and harsh conditions. McCarthy adds, “What makes this collaboration significant is the shared values both brands represent. Toughness, quality, and functionality are the pillars in which GORUCK products are built upon.”
