Celo launches grass-fed whey protein bars made with real food

Raw honey, organic dates, and zero artificial sweeteners.

Former Division I baseball teammates have launched Celo, a new protein bar brand built around simple, nutrient-dense ingredients. Each bar contains grass-fed whey, raw honey, and whole foods leaving out artificial sweeteners, seed oils, and synthetic additives commonly found in the category.

A real food approach to protein

Celo sources its whey from grass-fed cows raised without hormones or antibiotics, which provides higher levels of key amino acids compared to conventional whey.
The bars are sweetened naturally with raw honey and organic dates instead of artificial sweeteners. Each ingredient is chosen for purpose — from raw honey’s natural enzymes and antioxidants to its quick energy from glucose and fructose.

Two flavors to start

The launch lineup includes:

  • Chocolate Peanut Butter: Blended with maca root, a Peruvian adaptogen studied for its potential to support energy and endurance.
  • Blueberry Vanilla: Made with real blueberries for antioxidant and vitamin support that may aid recovery and focus post-workout.

Both flavors feature a cake-like texture with added crunch and use either peanut or almond butter as the base.

Where to buy

Celo protein bars are available at celonutrition.com for $29.99 per box of eight. Subscription orders receive 15% off.
